We specialize in Archery and Rifle hunts for Trophy Bull Elk in the heart of the Shoshone National Forest of Wyoming.
Our Archery hunting is done in September during the height of the rut. These hunts are challenging and exciting as we bugle in these trophy bulls.
With a camp history of 20-30% kill ratio, our 2006 season was exceptional at 77%. All of these bulls were 6x6!
We offer three, 8 day archery hunts with a maximum of 5 hunters in camp for each hunt. These hunts are 1 on 1 (one guide to one hunter—unless otherwise requested).
We feel that our camp is second to none when it comes to archery hunting. With seasoned guides and veteran horses, we feel we can give you an archery hunt of a lifetime. We base our success on the quality of hunt that we offer you, rather than just the kill.
These hunts are filling fast so call today to book your archery hunt of a lifetime.
Our rifle hunts start in October for the general season. These hunts are fun and exciting with opportunities to view and kill resident and migratory trophy bull elk.
Our three, 8 day rifle hunts give you a opportunity to hunt during the end of the rut or the beginning of the migration.
The maximum number of hunters per hunt is 6 hunters. These hunts are 1 on 1 unless otherwise requested. (We do offer a 10% discount for 2 on 1 hunts).
The late season elk tags are difficult to draw but if you are lucky enough to draw one of these coveted tags, we offer fabulous hunting for migratory trophy bull elk.
Hunt from our ranch or camp depending on the area you have drawn.
For great low fat, lean meat and a wonderful wilderness hunting experience, we offer cow elk hunts from our camp and our ranch. These are great opportunities to hunt and view large numbers of wildlife in their winter range.
Big Horn Sheep
I was born and raised in the Wapiti Valley and have lived my entire life on the same ranch.
My Grandfather and my Father were outfitters and well known sheep hunters. I grew up scouting sheep and hunting them with my father. I have been hunting sheep ever since I can remember. I feel there is no greater thrill than hunting these beautiful Big Horn Sheep.
Our Big Horn Sheep hunting areas are 2, 3, 4, & 5 with trophy rams in each of these areas. These tags are very difficult to draw so we place a strong commitment to finding you the ram of your choice. Pre-hunt scouting for rams is an important part of the service we offer. These hunts are done in rugged mountains and require physical fitness.
With the preference point system now in place in Wyoming, we suggest that you purchase preference points every year, even if you are not ready to go on your big horn sheep dream hunt. This will improve your chances of a draw at which time you are ready to apply.
Our Sheep camps are spike camps that have an experienced guide and a wrangler/cook.
The spike camps are made up of Teepee tents and a cook fly to shelter you from the elements while you enjoy good wholesome meals.
Spike camps make the rams more easily accessible but you will find them warm and comfortable.
Having the wrangler/cook in camp makes it so that all the guide and hunter have to do is hunt that trophy Big Horn Sheep of your dreams.
Most of our hunting is done on horseback and hiking.
Patience is the name of the game with Big Horn Sheep hunting.
The hunter’s patience determines the size of ram taken.
Our hunts are 10 days. One day in and one day out with 8 full days of hunting.
Longer hunts can be arranged if desired.
Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Deer and AntelopeOur Mule Deer hunting is done in late October and early November from our ranch via horseback or 4-wheel drive. We hunt BLM, State & Forest lands where the deer are wintering. Good opportunities to kill trophy mule deer are better in November as the rut is starting at this time.
We also offer a Bull Elk/Mule Deer Combo hunt the 15th – 22nd of October.
Antelope hunting is done via 4-wheel drive. These hunts are fun and exciting, challenging your shooting skills on the open prairie during October and early November.
Deer and/or Antelope hunts may be combined with a cow elk hunt in early November, giving a week of fabulous hunting.
Moose and Mt. GoatIf you are interested in hunting Moose or Mt. Goat, please contact us for more information. For any other pricing on our big game hunts visit our rates and information page.
Black BearMost of our Black Bear hunting is done from our camp in Boulder Basin. Spring Archery is the 15th – 30th of April. Spring Rifle is May 1st – June 15th.
These are 7 day hunts. We use the sight and stalk method as baiting is not permitted. Hunt dates are flexible.
Fall Black Bear hunting will be combined with an elk license. The cost of this combination is an additional $500. After you fill your elk tag, this gives you the opportunity to hunt the remaining duration of the hunt. (Bear licenses must be purchased in addition to the elk license.) The season is dependent on the mortality rate of female bears.
